What do you do?

What do you do when you can’t cry?
When you feel frozen and numb?
When you know something’s building?
It's making you hard inside
And wont go away no matter what.
When you cannot shake it loose
And let it unfurl and burst forth?
When anger doesn’t break you?
When it’s chalking up all the little things
And it you know it will strike one day
When you least need it?
How do you fight this horrible hard thing inside you?

  1. i have asked similar questions to myself. and i will always let out a huge sigh because i really don't know what to do!

but blogging helps. talking to my dearest friends too. so keep on blogging. write. rant. dramatize. swear. just to let it out.

  2. I work with the premise that you should deal with something before it deals with you and that resulted in the discovery that nothing is truely as hard as you perceive it to be.

And I hope that always turns out to be true.

  3. You make it sound like a tumour. I hope it's not a malignant one.

  4. Jump up and down, and scream 'Yes' at the top of your lungs. It sounds silly but it works. Embrace the frozen-ness, anxiety, confusion. Think about all the crappy things you feel and be grateful for it, be grateful and pretend that to feel this way was a choice. Once you don't fight it, it's so much easier to move past it.

(I liked your writing by the way!)
